Student Wins Prestigious Young Citizen Award
At Central Learning Partnership Trust, we are delighted to share the news and to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Ethan Shaw, who has been named the Young Citizen Award 2025 winner for the 13-18 age category.
Ethan’s recognition is a testament to the compassion, determination and selflessness he demonstrates both within school and throughout the wider community. A truly remarkable young person, he consistently goes above and beyond to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Earlier this year, Ethan raised more than £1,400 for the mental health charity MIND by undertaking an incredible challenge, walking from his home in Wolverhampton to the Welsh town of Llangollen in just 25 hours. His dedication to supporting an important cause inspired many and highlighted his commitment to helping others.
Ethan’s contributions extend far beyond fundraising. He has directed school performances, performed for elderly members of the community, and is widely recognised as a model student who continually encourages those around him to achieve their best. Whether supporting charitable causes, taking on leadership opportunities or lifting the spirits of others, Ethan consistently demonstrates the values we are proud to foster across our Trust.
Reflecting on what motivates him, Ethan said:
“Making someone happy is the best of feelings.”
These simple but powerful words perfectly capture the selfless nature that has earned him this well-deserved recognition.
A spokesperson for Central Learning Partnership Trust said:
“We are incredibly proud of Ethan and everything he has achieved. His commitment to helping others, supporting charitable causes and making a positive impact within his community is truly inspiring. He embodies the values of kindness, leadership and service, and this award is thoroughly deserved.”
Everyone at Central Learning Partnership Trust would like to congratulate Ethan on this fantastic achievement. He is a credit to his school, his family and our wider Trust community, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact he continues to make in the future.
Well done, Ethan, on becoming the Young Citizen Award 2025 winner. This recognition is thoroughly deserved. 🏆
