đ Wolverhampton City Hockey Champions â Back-to-Back Winners!
Wolverhampton City Hockey Tournament 2026
We are incredibly proud to announce that DâEyncourt are Wolverhampton City Hockey Champions for the second year running, once again lifting the prestigious Sue Myers Hockey Trophy!
After last yearâs success, preparations began back in September. With a squad full of talent, determination, and enthusiasm, we made the exciting decision to enter two teams into this yearâs competition. Every player showed outstanding commitment, attending hockey club every Friday after schoolâwhatever the weather!
A Fantastic Team Effort
This afternoon, both teams travelled to Aldersley to compete, and they did not disappoint.
DâEyncourt âRedâ Team
Our Red team may have had less experience, but they made up for it with incredible spirit and determination. Their hard work paid off as they progressed all the way to the playoffs for 3rd place. Although it wasnât their day in the final match, finishing 4th overall is a phenomenal achievementâwell done to all involved!
DâEyncourt âBlueâ Team
Our Blue team included many players from last yearâs winning squad, alongside some talented new Year 5 additions. They were outstanding throughout the tournament, winning every game in their group to secure a place in the final.
In a repeat of last yearâs showdown, they faced Wolverhampton Grammar School. Displaying confidence, skill, and teamwork, our pupils controlled the game and successfully retained the championship title, bringing the Sue Myers Trophy back to DâEyncourt once again!
An amazing achievement by allâwell done, DâEyncourt! đđ
