D’Eyncourt Primary Pupils visit the Houses of Parliament

As a Trust, we were delighted to see a group of our KS2 pupils from D’Eyncourt take part in an enriching visit to the Houses of Parliament, where they enjoyed a guided tour of this historic and influential institution. The children showed genuine fascination throughout, engaging thoughtfully with everything they encountered and asking insightful questions that reflected their curiosity and growing understanding of democracy.

A standout moment of the day was witnessing the pupils participate in their own D’Eyncourt debate in the House of Commons, exploring the topic of social media. Lawrence confidently stepped into the role of Speaker, while the children demonstrated impressive maturity, clarity of thought and teamwork. Their ability to articulate their views so confidently made a strong impression on everyone present and highlighted the strength of the learning taking place across our Trust.

Parliament staff were quick to comment on how knowledgeable, polite and well-mannered the children were during the visit. Their exemplary behaviour and positive attitude were evident from start to finish, and they represented D’Eyncourt — and the wider Trust — with great pride.

We are incredibly proud of every pupil who took part in this memorable experience. They were outstanding ambassadors for their school and for our Trust, embracing the opportunity with enthusiasm and demonstrating the values we strive to instil across all our academies. It was a truly inspiring day for all involved.
