Eastwood Village Primary School Leads the Way in Promoting Physical Literacy

At Eastwood Village Primary School, part of the Central Learning Partnership Trust, we have proudly embraced the Active School’s project since 2023. This initiative supports our pupils in developing essential physical literacy skills while promoting good health and well-being. The success of the project has been widely celebrated by our entire school community.

Our pupils have shared how much they enjoy staying fit and healthy, with many expressing excitement about improving their skills in various sports. Daily practice and the opportunities provided during school hours have made physical activity a natural and enjoyable part of their day.

Eastwood Village has also become a source of inspiration for others, with children proudly demonstrating to visitors from across the country how they stay active during break and lunchtimes.

The school’s achievements in this initiative were recently highlighted as a case study during a PE conference held on 16th January at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium. This recognition showcases the impact of our commitment to physical education and inspires others to prioritize the well-being of their pupils.

As part of CLPT, we remain dedicated to fostering healthy, active lifestyles for all our children and celebrating their successes on both local and regional platforms.
