Moseley Park Student Achieves Karate World Champion Success in Brazil
At Central Learning Partnership Trust, we are delighted to witness some of the incredible achievements by our school’s students and in this case, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of Taylor, whose dedication, perseverance and exceptional talent have earned him success on the world stage.
Earlier this year, Taylor was selected to represent JKS England at the prestigious 7th JKS World Shoto Cup and Para Cup in Vitória, Brazil, held from 20 to 23 August 2026. His selection was the result of years of hard work, discipline and commitment to his sport, placing him among an elite group of athletes chosen to compete against the very best JKS karate competitors from around the world.
Representing England in both individual and team events was a tremendous achievement in itself, but Taylor’s journey to Brazil followed what had already been his most successful competitive season to date. Throughout 2026, he demonstrated outstanding consistency and determination, securing an impressive medal haul of:
- 5 Gold Medals
- 3 Silver Medals
- 3 Bronze Medals
These accomplishments highlighted Taylor’s growing reputation within the sport and helped secure his place within the England squad.
Karate demands exceptional levels of focus, resilience and dedication, and Taylor’s success reflects the countless hours of training and preparation he has invested over many years. His determination to continually improve and challenge himself has been recognised by coaches, teammates and supporters alike.
We are now thrilled to share that Taylor’s experience in Brazil exceeded all expectations, resulting in an extraordinary set of achievements on the world stage.
