Premier League Action at Woden Primary

On Tuesday 14th January, the Premier League trophy arrived at Woden Primary School as part of a very special, but unexpected, visit. Made from silver and gold and weighing in at 25kg, the shiny spectacle wowed both pupils and staff alike. Each class took turns to visit the trophy for a photograph but were under strict instructions not to touch it as this is an honour reserved only for those who have rightfully won it. Adorned with the ribbons of the current holders of the trophy, Manchester City, the trophy stood tall with its crown on top and the engraved names of previous winners around its base.

Its visit to Woden came as part of a very special day where a number of Year 5 and 6 pupils were involved in PE lessons, led by the Wolves Foundation Coaches, and captured by the Premier League film crew. Undoubtedly, the pupils felt like film stars and the trophy added to the wonder of a very memorable day.
